Someday Never Comes

Posted in Song Lyrics on December 4th, 2009

First thing I remember was askin’ Papa, Why?,
For there were many things I didn’t know.
And Daddy always smiled, took me by the hand,
Sayin’, Someday you’ll understand.

Well, I’m here to tell you now each and ev’ry mother’s son
You better learn it fast; you better learn it young,
‘Cause, Someday never comes.

Well, time and tears went by and I collected dust,
For there were many things I didn’t know.
When Daddy went away, he said, Try to be a man,
And, Someday you’ll understand.

Well, I’m here to tell you now each and ev’ry mother’s son
You better learn it fast; you better learn it young,
‘Cause, Someday never comes.

And then, one day in April, I wasn’t even there,
For there were many things I didn’t know.
A son was born to me, Mama held his hand,
Sayin’ Someday you’ll understand.

Well, I’m here to tell you now each and ev’ry mother’s son
You better learn it fast; you better learn it young,
‘Cause, Someday never comes.

Think it was September, the year I went away,
For there were many things I didn’t know.
And I still see him standing, try’n’ to be a man;
I said, Someday you’ll understand.

Well, I’m here to tell you now each and ev’ry mother’s son
You better learn it fast; you better learn it young,
‘Cause, Someday never comes.

Nothingman

Posted in Song Lyrics on September 24th, 2009

Once divided…nothing left to subtract
Some words when spoken…cant be taken back
Walks on his own…with thoughts he cant help thinking
Futures above…but in the past hes slow and sinking
Caught a bolt a lightnin…cursed the day he let it go

Nothingman, Nothingman
Isnt it something?
Nothingman

She once believed…in every story he had to tell
One day she stiffened…took the other side
Empty stares…from each corner of a shared prison cell
One just escapes…ones left inside the well
And he who forgets…will be destined to remember…oh…oh…oh…

Nothingman…Nothingman
Isnt it something?
Nothingman

Oh, she dont want him
Oh, she wont feed him…after hes flown away
Oh, into the sun…ah, into the sun…

Burn…burn…burn…burn…burn…burn

Nothingman…Nothingman

Isnt it something?

Nothingman…Nothingman

Coulda been something…

Nothingman…

ROFL my friend from Germany (the “other Sabine”) sent me this song, which she thought i’d get a kick out of…omg it is hilarious (i didn’t hear the song, so i have no idea if it’s “pro”, “con”, or “neutral”) but it’s freakin hilarious…i like understood every line, it was so funny!

“Fan Club”, by Picturehouse (an Irish band)

Hey hey, happy man, smiling as he leaves the book store
Carrying his carrier bags all bulging wide
Such a lucky man, such a lot to line your shelves with
Starts to hurry so that he can get
Inside
Each book it overflows with violent murder
That he can read about in bed when he gets home
It chills him to the bone

‘cos he loves Jeffrey Dahmer
And he loves the son of Sam
And he loves reciting segments
From ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’
And he worships Charlie Manson
Wishes he was Eddie Gein
He’s a member of the fan club
For the criminally insane

Hey hey, smiling man, smiling, leaves the local art house -
Just seen ‘Henry’ for the thousandth time
Don’t walk - he skips along, calls in at the old newsagent
To see if his magazine’s come in on time
It has a label screaming: ADULTS ONLY
And lovingly details all the latest gruesome crimes
He laps up every line

‘cos he loves Jeffrey Dahmer
And he loves the son of Sam
And he loves reciting segments
From ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’
And he worships Charlie Manson
Wishes he was Eddie Gein
He’s a member of the fan club
For the criminally insane

Hey hey, happy man, smiling while his aunt & uncle have
Fun force-feeding him with tea and cakes
Glibly sipping sits, mind-undressing antique figures
Briskly stiffens when he hears his aunt y say:
“well, ain’t that awful about that girl being murdered”
His uncle nods and bellows: “string the bastards up !!”
Our man just grips his cup

‘cos he loves Jeffrey Dahmer
And he loves the son of Sam
And he loves reciting segments
From ‘The Silence Of The Lambs’
And he worships Charlie Manson
Wishes he was Eddie Gein
He’s a member of the fan club
For the criminally insane

(note, i am not like some sickos out there who are actually “in love” with these people or defend everything they do, etc. - i actually think they are “losers” ha ha who would never have the “guts” to do what they so admire; but i am fascinated by these guys and sometimes empathetic; oh, also, there are some i distinctly dislike; cute song, though!)

ps - if you’re the “real” sabine, please write me!

Mission

Posted in Song Lyrics on June 21st, 2008

Pulled through you, and drowning in your swirl
Circling, unfolding in your will
I’m gonna glide on the winds of your breathing
And alight on your guarded heart

I’m gonna tear all your temples down
I’m on a MISSION now

Smoldering down inside your mood
Slithering and fanning in your eyes
I’m going to dive through your crying and sleep in your hair
Rise from your ashes and kneel in you prayers

I’m gonna tear all your temples down
I’m on a MISSION now

And I have nothing, but then the have is not as good as the want

I’m gonna glide on the winds of your breathing
Writhe in your calm and provide your release
Weave into your wanting and needing
And reside in the heart of your strongest beliefs

Tear all your temples down
I’m on a MISSION now
I’m on a MISSION now
I’m on a MISSION now

I have nothing…
But then the have is not as good as the WANT!

Stuck In A Moment You Can’t Get Out Of

Posted in Song Lyrics on June 3rd, 2008

I have this problem - I think about something until I bore a hole into my mind. This song always cheered me up when I was sad. It makes you feel comforted by an older, wiser person and makes you feel like a baby for dwelling on things too much.

“For verily, with hardship comes ease. Verily, with hardship comes ease.” - The Quran

—————————————————————————————

I’m not afraid of anything in this world
There’s nothing you can throw at me that I haven’t already heard
I’m just trying to find a decent melody
A song that I can sing in my own company

I never thought you were a fool
But darling, look at you
You gotta stand up straight, carry your own weight
These tears are going nowhere, baby

You’ve got to get yourself together
You’ve got stuck in a moment and now you can’t get out of it
Don’t say that later will be better now you’re stuck in a moment
And you can’t get out of it

I will not forsake the colors that you bring
But the nights you filled with fireworks
They left you with nothing
I am still enchanted by the light you brought to me
I listen through your ears, and through your eyes I can see

And you are such a fool
To worry like you do
I know it’s tough, and you can never get enough
Of what you don’t really need now … my oh my

You’ve got to get yourself together
You’ve got stuck in a moment and you can’t get out of it
Oh love look at you now
You’ve got yourself stuck in a moment and you can’t get out of it

I was unconscious, half asleep
The water is warm till you discover how deep
I wasn’t jumping, for me it was a fall
It’s a long way down to nothing at all

You’ve got to get yourself together
You’ve got stuck in a moment and you can’t get out of it
Don’t say that later will be better now
You’re stuck in a moment and you can’t get out of it

And if the night runs over
And if the day won’t last
And if your way should falter
Along the stony pass

And if the night runs over
And if the day won’t last
And if your way should falter
Along the stony pass
It’s just a moment
This time will pass

I Hate Myself For Loving You

Posted in Song Lyrics on May 22nd, 2008

lol i remember hearing this song when i was like 13 and i didnt know what love was then, but i thought the main lyrics were interesting

now that i do know what love is, i find the chorus quite apt - i’m sure a lot of you will too lol, especially the girls out there…

————————————————————————————–

Midnight, gettin’ uptight. Where are you?
You said you’d meet me, now it’s quarter to two
I know I’m hangin’ but I’m still wantin’ you.
Hey, Jack, It’s a fact they’re talkin’ in town.
I turn my back and you’re messin’ around.

I’m not really jealous, don’t like lookin’ like a clown.
I think of you ev’ry night and day.

You took my heart, then you took my pride away.
I hate myself for loving you .
Can’t break free from the the things that you do.
I wanna walk but I run back to you, that’s why
I hate myself for loving you .

Daylight, spent the night without you.
But I’ve been dreamin’ ’bout the lovin’ you do.
I won’t be as angry ’bout the hell you put me through.
Hey, man, bet you can treat me right.
You just don’t know what you was missin’ last night.
I wanna see your face and say forget it just from spite.

I hate myself for loving you .
Can’t break free from the the things that you do.
I wanna walk but I run back to you, that’s why
I hate myself for loving you.
I hate myself for loving you.
Can’t break free from the things that you do.
I wanna walk but I run back to you, that’s why
I hate myself for loving you .

I think of you ev’ry night and day.
You took my heart, then you took my pride away.
I hate myself for loving you .
Can’t break free from the the things that you do.
I wanna walk but I run back to you, that’s why
I hate myself for loving you .
I hate myself for loving you .
I hate myself for loving you .

Bad

Posted in Song Lyrics on May 9th, 2008

If you twist and turn away
If you tear yourself in two again
If I could, yes I would
If I could, I would…
Let it go

Surrender
Dislocate

If I could throw this lifeless lifeline to the wind
Leave this heart of clay
See you walk, walk away
Into the night
And through the rain
Into the half-light
And through the flame

If I could through myself
Set your spirit free
I’d lead your heart away
See you break, break away
Into the light
And to the day

To let it go
And so to fade away
To let it go
And so fade away

Wide awake
Wide awake
Wide awake
I’m not sleeping

If you should ask then maybe they’d
Tell you what I would say
True colors fly in blue and black
Bruised silken sky and burning flag
Colors crash, collide in bloodshot eyes

If I could, you know I would
If I could, I would
Let it go…

This desperation
Dislocation
Separation
Condemnation
Revelation
In temptation
Isolation
Desolation…
Let it go

And so fade away
To let it go
And so fade away
To let it go
And so to fade away

Wide awake
Wide awake
Wide awake
I’m not sleeping
Oh no, no…

The Long Road

Posted in Song Lyrics on April 22nd, 2008

And I wished for so long
Cannot stay…
All the precious moments
Cannot stay…
It’s not like wings have fallen
Cannot stay…
Without you something’s missing
Cannot say…

Holding hands our daughters and sons
And their faiths are falling down, down, down…
I have wished for so long
How I wish for you today

We all walk the long road
Cannot stay
There’s no need to say goodbye

All the friends and family
All the memories going round, round, round…
I have wished for so long
How I wish for you today

And the wind keeps roaring
And the sky keeps turning gray
And the sun is setting
The sun will rise another day

We all walk the long road
Cannot stay
There’s no need to say goodbye

I have wished for so long
How I wish for you today
I have wished for so long
How I wish for you today

We all walk the long road
We all walk the long road
We all walk the long road…

Rearview Mirror

Posted in Song Lyrics on February 6th, 2008

I took a drive today
Time to emancipate
I guess it was the beatings made me wise
But I’m not about to give thanks or apologize

I couldn’t breathe
Holdin’ me down
Hand on my face
Kissin’ the ground
Enmity gauged
United by fear
Spos’ed to endure what I could not forgive…

I seem to look away
Wounds in the mirror waved
It wasn’t my surface most defiled

Head at your feet
Fool to your crown
Fist on my plate
Swallowed it down
Enmity gauged
United by fear
Tried to endure what I could not forgive…

Saw things
Saw things
Saw things
Saw things
Clearer
Clearer
Once you
Were in my
Rearview mirror

I gather speed
From you ****ing with me
Once and for all
I’m far away
I hardly believe
Finally the shades
Are raised

Saw things so much clearer
Once you were in my rearview mirror
Saw things so much clearer
Once you were in my rearview mirror…

Landslide

Posted in Song Lyrics on January 28th, 2008

I took my love and I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life

Well, I’ve been afraid of changing ’cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
And I’m getting older too

Well…

Well, I’ve been afraid of changing ’cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I’m getting older, too
Well I’m getting older too

So, take this love and take it down
Yeah and if you climb a mountain and ya turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down

And if you see my reflection in the snow-covered hills
Well maybe
Well maybe
Well maybe
The landslide will bring you down
